CompUSA has the PNY Verto GeForce 6600GT Video Card, 8x AGP, 128MB DDR3 on sale for $200 AR. This seems like a good deal. But this brand was not included in the 12/9 roundup here on AnandTech. And given all the warnings in that article about thermal tape and glue failing, I am afraid to take a chance. Does anybody have details on the PNY card? Does it have HSF problems? Any idea what the noise level is? Also interested in heat but more interested in the noise. Will probably NOT overclock so stock performance is more important to me than overclockability. What are your thoughts?

I have a PNY GeForce FX5200 and well, I've had it for 3 years and going and let me tell you PNY makes decent cards. I don't know what people talk about when they badmouth PNY products as I have had no problems with my low-end 5200. PNY is decent, but of course its not the best. If its the only card for 200 bucks even well than its a good deal. I've seen pictures of the 6600GT for PNY and it has the reference design heatsink so it should run just a bit louder than any other type of HSF design.
