If you know anything about comics you have heard of Preacher! Out of publication now, it was a #1 comic for YEARS which won many awards and helped put Vertigo comics on the map. More adult orientated stories didn't make it a widespread read.

Each issue will be a one 1 hour long episode! trying to preserve the story as it was written.

Preacher centers on a Texas holy man named Jesse Custer, who is possessed by a supernatural entity that is half angel and half demon. Given immense powers, Jesse sets out on a journey to find God?who has fled from heaven?and hold him accountable for his actions.

I'm a fan...
Stopped reading abt 2002???

I doubt it will translate well... but they surprised me with Constantine, so I'm game... 😀

Never got past the first trade. Now, I would squeel like a little girl if HBO adapted Transmetropolitan 😀

So, will this be animated or live action?

haha you know what i dunno! i assumed it would be live action but HBO has done animated series int he past right?
i really hope it is life action

as for it translating well i dunno since the person wanting to do it sounds like he wants to preserve the story exactly and the 1 hour per issue sounds like it would work out well

Same line as Constantine isn't it?

Vertigo is\was the 'artsy' line of DC. Basically a universe apart from the traditional DC universe so.. each comic was essentially entirely independant of any other.

Same line as Sandman, btw.
