My pull up tripod projector screen I use with my Panasonic PT-AX200E, has some vertical waves in it. I went the projector route as I felt I couldn't buy a reasonable large enough TV to ever feel fully immersed in my experience. Traditionally, I sit farther away from my television set.

Panning game/movie shots show objects that move in and out, and horizontal lines aren't perfectly straight.

I also feel it *might* be having an effect on quick action such as in FFXIII or any FPS. I find it hard to track objects that aren't near the center of the screen. Maybe its my eyes. Games like Call of Duty are beautiful games, but I feel like I can't take in any of the beauty as the games just move way way to fast. I can't concentrate or make out much of anything when spinning the cross hairs around quickly. I feel removed...almost. I don't know. That might be a completely different topic. Call of Duty, beautiful games, but they MOVE so fast. How am I suppose to take any of it in when I'm constantly twirling the camera around for baddies. you know?

Anyways. Is there any method to flatten a screen like this? The screen works well for the price I paid 0$. Next screen I'd get would probably be a grey one, cause my environment is more often light than it is perfectly dark. The brand is commodore. Was used for projection slides, but then was rolled up and stored in a garage for a long time.

Ideas? Any ideas on the fast moving action sequences? Its just games like FFXIII where everything is moving SO fast, even moving the camera during exploration, makes it feel like I can't make anything out except when I stop the frame and look. Maybe my eyes are getting slower.

Not your eyes happened with one of the screens I had from Elite Screens.

I bought my first projector screen for cheap from them and a cheapish projector (Epson 6500UB) to see if it was something I would really like.

Easy answer is it was the screen and there is barely anyway to fix it from what I read on avsforum.com around getting a new one. Bought a new screen then 2 screens after that, then 2 projectors after that and I am finally settled on something I can keep long-term.

The Panasonic PT-AX200E was a projector made for gaming.

However, why would a projector screen have an effect on fast moving images. Wouldn't that be relevant to the projector itself.

Anyways, the ripples in the screen? Anyway to flatten it?
