Direct from the admin of storagereview, so it should be legit

Ship date is 1-2 weeks, and pricing is $280 for 120GB and $540 for 240GB. This is up from the $250 / $ 500 pricing listed in Anand's article. From the post:

"These prices are up slightly from originally expected due to NAND price fluctuations"

It doesn't look like these G3 drives will be any improvement pricewise, at least initially

They are in stock currently at Newegg (probably not for long). But I want to bring up the pricing. A couple of sources have said pricing will be $249/$499 for 120GB/240GB respectively. They are selling for $299/$549.

Is this really because of NAND price fluctuations, or is it because these drives are in huge demand and short supply? Expected to come down to $249/$499? What do you think?

I'm still reading the review. I presume 240GB is a good amount faster than 120GB.

EDIT: Finished reading. Looks like 240GB Vertex 3 is the only real high-performance option (Intel's 510 looks good too perhaps), or wait for Anand to review other drives of similar capacity.
