Vertex 2 With Less than 1GB Capacity Remaining

Desktop started acting a little funny today. Load times were slow, window movement was jittery. I looked at the remaining space for my SSD Boot drive, and it's crawled beyond 1GB remaining.

Is a vertex 2 more likely to fail while at full capacity? I can dig around for applications i can move to another drive, but at the same time, i'm just considering replacing it with a higher capacity SSD, just not sure what i should look at with a Sata II bottleneck.

lower capacity left = OS need to juggle around different stuff to make free space.... it'll increase the write amount, maybe lead to a quicker death (who knows?)

if you haven't done it already, disable hibernation and pagefile(if you have >4GB ram)

I Did do that, so there's one headache averted. I'm worried this particular Sandforce controller will live up to it's infamy. It's been a year to date since i've got it up and running.

That kind of OS behavior can be had with a regular drive also. When you get down to the last 10% of drive space, things get iffy unless its static storage.
