even tho his form hasnt reallly justified his 28mill transfer fee to ManUtd... he was playing great during the USA tour.

Oh well, another star to Chelsea's list... but what I'm wondering is what Man.Utd. plans to do about its creativity problem. Certainly selling two of your best passers doesn't help.... so what are they gonna do this all of this newfound cash?

Veron has never really produced his best form for Man U - he's far better when playing for his national side.
They're never gonna recoup the £28mil they payed for him, and £16.5 mil is more than he's worth at current form. Fergie's wise to let him go while chelsea are on a spending spree and invest in some younger players...

Younger inexperienced players aren't really gonna help them immidietely in the Champions League, which is where they get beat up. Their team is fine for the most part in the Premiership, but as last season showed, they need some solid midfielders (preferably with Champions League experience, like Veron and Beckham), in order to really succeed in Europe.

They've got scholes, butt, kean and giggs in midfield still - that's a world-class lineup if ever there's been one - they're probably better off investing in a real striker to replace Forlan, or getting a less erratic keeper than barthez...

Keane (and sometimes Butt) tend to be more defensive midfielders, and it's also fair to say that Keane and Giggs's days are numbered... Sure youve got Scholes and Giggs attacking, but what good did that do against Real Madrid last season? In my opinion not only do they need another attacker to back up Ruud, but they need some real creativity in the midfield....

We'll have to wait and see what fergie does...
