Did a search before creating this topic.

It's quite a hilarious story. The guy is on the phone with Verizon for more than 20 minutes, talking to at least 6 people who all think that $.002 = .002¢

It's very interesting. Here is the Youtube link with his initial contact with Verizon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gp0HyxQv97Q).

Here is the blog following this story (http://verizonmath.blogspot.com/index.html).
There are other links here to the audio if you have youtube blocked.

you used 'advance search.' you should just use regular search. advanced search blows.

turns out powergen cant do maths either, that or the gimps havent got the foggiest idea how to update their records, or know that there is a difference between imperial and metric.

we have a metric meter and for the last five years we just found they have been using the imperal conversion factor of 2.83 to charge us.

that means our bills are 2.83 times more than they should of been

we told them, we said we have a metric meter and that they are applying an imperial to metric conversion to a metric meter and that they should re calculate it. (we probably wont be getting our money back from the 5 years of the mistake, but at least we would like it if we didnt have to pay the £1000 gas/elec bill this time)

they siad sure thing, give us your meter reading as of now and we'll sort it.

comes back in a few days, its got the original units used plus the additional units used since that original £1000 bill and they've made the same bloody mistake again, so the bill is now nearly £1200. ****** idiots i swear.
