Good news for me, since I have an upgrade next week and I am finally going from a "feature phone" to a smartphone. I know some others are getting ready to upgrade too, so I thought I'd share the knowledge. They also have BOGO on the Razr and Razr Maxx, which gets me thinking again. I was going to just get the Nexus, but if I could get two Razr Maxx's for $300, it is very tempting to switch. What are the requirements when it comes to selling these phones? Could I get the BOGO, give one Razr Maxx to my girlfriend, sell the other, and buy myself a Nexus? What is the best course of action here... My girlfriend's phone is starting to become a problem, it freezes a lot and has other problems. It is an old Samsung Continuum, not worth much. Any ideas?

I haven't checked but it's probable that the Razr Maxx will sell for more than the Nexus costs since it's so new, so I guess you could try that. Though you might have to buy the Nexus first (AFAIK you need another smartphone to be able to deactivate one currently in use).

After reading up a bit, it seems I need another line that is eligible for an upgrade to get the BOGO. Kinda sucks, oh well...

Because of this double-data promotion which ended 1/15, I jumped on a data plan after many years with a smartphone without one (used wifi which never really works). After almost a month, I've used 500MB out of 4GB. Doh. Well I do work at home with wifi. I guess I didn't need to rush, but still, a 2GB limit seems way too small regardless. Limits are for the birds.

Expect usage to go up but not the plans. That's why it's a "good" deal.
