"Sir, due to a glitch on your account, we can't activate your new phone until 9 am tomorrow. Nor can we put your old phone back into service. Sorry about that."

That's like 16 hours at most, right? You can't live without your cell for 16 hours???

It's not like they're keeping you away from ATOT for 16 hours! :D

BTW, if they don't offer, you should ask for a credit for that lost time. Typically, instead of pro-rating the time, they'll just give you a $20 voucher off your bill.

Good luck!

VW still owes my $55 from about 5 years ago; nothing they do would surprise me.

Where are you going?

You know, when I was leaving Guantanamo forever I didn't pack any bags or call anyone. My commanding office was leaving for just one day; he called his sister and former mentor and he packed a change of clothes and some toiletries.

Odd, don't you think?

I was about to move three years ago, so I called to cancel my land line a month ahead of time. I assumed that no land line would mean no DSL, but I'm not sure that's right.

After a month in my new place I noticed that Verizon DSL was still charging my credit card for the old DSL. I called them up and told them I had moved, that the old phone number no longer existed, and I want my money back. They asked me to send their DSL modem back to them and they sent me a shipping kit. I setn the modem back to them and waited for my credit.

The next month, they charged me again for the old DSL so I canceled the credit card and called them to ask what's up. They said they'd send me my money again.

In the meantime, I had turned on Verizon phone service and DSL at my new place (no credit card payment this time!).

Three months later I get a letter forwarded from my old address. Verizon had sent my account to a collection agency. WTF??!!

As far as I can tell, they owe me money. Also, I'm currently one of their customers for land line service, DSL, and mobile phone service... how is it they can't figure out how to find me? Do they not have my phone number????
