i tested it in my car and the range is a few miles from a tower with the service

1- Well thanks Capt Obvious! (65 NM is hardly blue water) That may be changing in the future - they would be buoys but anyways...
2- Range over water is much better hence my query is based on real world use. I guess most of AT are not fish no?
