verizon online dsl

I currently use verizon online dsl as my broadband connection. Its 34.99 a month, and i get 1.5/128ku connection. verizon supplied me with a westell ethernet modem. i've heard alot about how good the motorola surfboard modems are and do you think i should purhase one? will i see any differences?

I would not pay too much attention to these notions.

A lot of the obsession with Good or Bad concerning this stuff is a result of carry over from the CPUs OverClocking, and Video Cards Frame Pushing. It does not have any real bearing on many issues concerning Networking and the Internet. The main problem with Networking is Ignorance rather than hardware.
