Verizon matches AT&T's $160 share plan...Is it worth it???

It will be more with taxes and stuff. It is a good deal if you have, or can find inexpensive Verizon phones. The nice thing about ATT is that it is much easier to find GSM phones. I guess it depends on which carrier gives you better service where you need it.

I always thought so too, but at least 2nd hand in my area there seems to be alot more Verizon phones on craigslist than anything else. I'm not sure why that is.

Probably because it's easier to sell a GSM phone than it is a CDMA phone.

I'm not sure how things are in South Bend, but in a lot of smaller market, midwest areas Verizon is the only carrier that has coverage worth talking about. I bet in my area the Verizon : everyone else ratio is 20:1 if not higher. I'm honestly not sure I know a single person in real life that uses anything else here. I'm sure if you look at used phones on CL in such an area most of them are going to be Verizon models.
