Verizon Phones... I picked up the LG VX10... could have had the Samsung A310 for the same price.... did I make a horrible choice?

The audio on the VX10 sounds bad when I hear the ringing of the phone I am calling.... wonder if the samsung would be better...

BTW does anyone know how long I have to exchange phones?

ARG!

I had the TM510 and now have the VX1 (which is identical to the VX10, minus some software updates). I recommend going fot the VX10, it is smaller and has a better interface (including a better phone book).

Of the two I'd go VX10, but the Motorola V60 is available for $180 with $50 MIR with a contract last time I checked (mid September) at Radioshack. I'd go with that but I'm not sure if that deal is available.

I have the TM510 and except for the phone book it is a good phone. With the phone book on it there is no way to just view and scroll through the book. You have to search by either entry number (1-199) or by letter. This is annoying at first but it is not too bad after you get used to it.

you can scroll. hit the right arrow, then hit find right away, don't type anything... whole list.

but yeah, i wish it were one click access to it (ie nokia) :) not a big deal for me. Another down fall is it doesn't vibrate and ring AT THE SAME TIME.. it vibrates first 5, THEN it rings. It also takes forever to get to my voicemail (you can set the "answering machine on," but it doesn't do my voicemail message). And one final note is i wish there were an easy way to switch ring types... profile-like (ie nokia again..). There's manner mode, but i want more options. Why don't i get a nokia? i like flip phones :p As far as performance.. battery seems to drain a little faster than I'd like after talking (but better than the 3360 my mom currently has).

If cost is no issue, go w/ the vx10. altho, it only comes in silver? I prefer black.

Between those two, forget the 510 and go for the VX10.

I'm looking to replace my 510 not with a VX10, but with a Motorola V60i. You might consider that instead too. Battery life is supposedly better, and so is the UI.
