I have known a few people with it, and used it for a few weeks my self. And in my experience it was great for web surfing. But A. The download speed would drop after a few minutes, B they block some incoming ports so you cant host your own stuff. Same goes for If your hosting a game server, it works ok but as soon as you start really using that upload it cuts back.
Basically any time you really start using that bandwidth it cuts back. Now thats understandable its a business, most ISP's do that. But i use a lot of bandwidth each month, so it never really played nice with me.
If you want to host your own stuff, then you need to change to Fios for business. You might want to have your service checked if your download speed is dropping. That's not happening to any of the people that I know who have Fios. Game hosting, & torrent downloads are phenomenal.Originally posted by: NickOlsen8390

Like i said, i dont have it but used it for a while, And if i want to host a site i put a server at my work on the 100+Mb/s network (wireless ISP), but like i said, i have cable, and its business cable. its 10/1 and i use more bandwidth then 99.9% of the users. were talking 300-500gb a month. when i used fios they didnt like that. And my friend tryed to host a CSS server on it.
Good machine dual core, 4gb of ram, worked well till it got to about 15 people, then all the pings would hit the roof, pluged it in a work, no problem ran 30 people for 3 weeks.
and it wasnt his network, we checked all that. It was FIOS, the only way we could get pings back down was to take the upload down to about 1mb/s then it would let us go back to 15 or so for a few minutes then start acting up again.
