i would be happy w/ something like 10/5 for a $40 🙂 now only if it were available here... grr... sucks that I live in a roll out county but can't get it... AAAHH.
 
i called in on December 26th about FIOS.

I was signed up and they were going to install it on January 13th (that far of a wait) between 3-7pm

I leave work early and get home at 2:30.

They didn't show up nor called me to tell me they weren't going to come.

So screw verizon and screw fios. I'll stick w/my 8mb down for now just for the sheer fact of their crappy customer service. A friend of mine works for verizon as well and he told me that's not uncommon. So I'm skipping on it for now due to their crappy customer service.
 
I got the cheapest plan because I don't care for any more than it. It's nice and fast, but I did have some connectivity issues when it was first hooked up. Those have since gone away though.
 
Do they have business services with static IPs available?
If so this is something I need to look into for the office.

I'm not paying $50/m, but I do have a sh!tty 1.2M down 256K up DSL connection. :| And let me tell you, I'd be MORE than happy to pay more if I could get faster speeds. :|

Great deal OP. In my area, the 30/5 FIOS plan is $200/m.

Why so much? Are you having BellSouth? If so, call them and ask for lower price or you will switch to cable. I did and get a $10 off a month.

Welcome to the FiOS fold. I've had the 15/2 since August and I recently called and got my free upgrade to 20/5. It's been nothing short of perfect ever since I got it.
 
Verizon has been doing a lot of work replacing cables near me. I can only hope this is related to FiOS in my area.
