I'm planning to have the technician call for an ethernet turnup on the ONT so I get Internet via that instead over coaxial. The attached link is what i've planned so far:
Wiring Diagram
Brand new RG6 coaxial wiring to replace all of the old wiring (I was still using antenna for TV) and running cat6 from ONT to the D-Link. The reason for the ethernet turnup is I much prefer cat5e over coax but TV can only run across coax so I have to have the two (?) run in. Video on Demand comes over wherever my internet connection is so I need to run an thernet cable from my own router to the Actiontec router they provice (though I know I'd have to re configure that actiontec one into bridging mode for this to work right).
Does that look sound?
Thanks.
