Verizon FIOS.. how often do they screw up your bill?

I'm a FIOS customer (for about 6 months now) and I have had a different bill every single month! I have had new charges that I didn't ask for every single month. I have had to call them every single month.

Right now, they have an extra $99 charge for 'unreturned equipment' and a $9 (1 of 3 payments supposedly) activation charge.. all because I let the service lapse because they screwed up last month's bill and I didn't get a chance to call them during their banker's hours to get it fixed.. Oh yea, they still haven't given me the $100 credit they promised me when I first signed up for the service.

Supposedly now they have a 'no credit' policy where they will never issue credit under any circumstance..

WTF is going on here? I searching 'fios billing' on google and got nothing but other people complaining..

Is there anyone with FIOS that has not had an error in their bill yet?

They mess up all the time. They even reported me to a collection agency, because for some stupid reason when I canceled my land line with them they just made a new account and never terminated the old one, but stopped sending me any billing notifications for the old one. 90 days later I got a letter from North Shore Agency :|

This seems to be their MO.

The Feds need to step in pronto but I suspect nothing will happen until Bush is out of office.

Yep, my bill changes about every month. I have FIOS internet as well as cable. My cable bill has NEVER once been wrong (and no contract), my FIOS however is a different story. My wife & I both work from home so I wanted internet redundancy, hence the reason for both cable & FIOS but I have on more than one occasion considered cancelling my FIOS because of this.

had a few issues on the first couple of bills but it's been fine since (over a year). They do need to work on their cust service but the actual internet/TV is great.

Its been 7 months and I havent gotten a proper bill yet. For a while I was getting my triple play split up between two phone numbers (the temp number they gave me and my ported number). One day I spent over 5 hours on the phone, got transferred over 10 times on one call, and finally thought I got everything squared away. Then I see my bill for this month and get charged $166 ()@%()@#%()@#% (should be around 118 after taxes). I really hate calling these assholes as they ALWAYS say that they have it fixed but NEVER do. There is no accountablity (they can never find the reference numbers the previous agent gives you) and it is VERY frustrating. Despite the garbage billing, the service has been great, and I hope they can get their shit together soon.

Is there any TV/internet provider that actually has decent customer service or accurate billing? They all suck. Cox royally screwed up my bill a few times.

fuck fios, I have been a customer just one month, and they are miserable I MEAN MISERABLE with customer service. the product is great, but you will go through hell when you call them because all they do is transfer you to someone else who cant fix the problem and doesnt care. I am fairly certain I going to take the $170 hit and terminate early. I cannot stand them, and will go back to my local cable provider (cablevision) which was good to start with, but I want something better.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from fios, they lock you into contract for a reason.

3 months and has been overbilled every month. At least they give you a month of free premium stuff, but dang, their billing sucks.

Yeah that's the ticket, the Feds will be right on it right after Obama steps down from the podium on January 20th because the Feds have absolutely nothing more important on the horizon than to get involved with Verizon FIOS billing issues.

I don't know yet. My first bill had all of the first time activations and pro-rated fees for the 4 days I used it that month... my second included some credit I'm still not clear about. Waiting on my third bill...

Mine was activated on Nov. 4th, got my first bill earlier this month and it was completely wrong. I've been unsuccessful getting anyone on the phone to fix it. Just get put on hold forever. Once after half an hour I reached a human, who then transferred me and I was on hold again until I couldn't take it anymore and hung up. Is there ever a way to reach a CSR on the phone without waiting at least half an hour?
