It's not capped at 768. They also offer a upgraded DSL package at 3 Mbs download/768 up

To offer anything faster would be pretty dumb on their part, after they have been investing so much money into their fiber optic infrastructure since it would compete with their FiOS

They want people on FiOS so they can offer triple play packages with the TV service.

i'm a Verizon phone customer.

Does this apply? Is this the same surcharge i'm talking about in my 1st thread?

WTF part 2:

My Verizon DSL is now 17.99. it used to be 16.49 (14.99 + tax/fees)

Anyone else get an increase in their dsl bill?

I called them up. they said all dsl customers that came in at 14.95 has been increased to 17.99. :| BASTARDS!
