does anybody have this service? the city i live in is lewisville.

last summer when i had the service, verizon offered a variety of packages from 768/128 to 768/384 to 1.5/1.5 and etc.... i had the overpriced gold package (49.95 for 768/128... cheapest they had)

this summer, it seems as if there is only 1 plan for 34.95$. ive looked all over their website and there seems to be no mention of speed. does anybody know what this speed this package is?

Supposedly it's pretty good. (I live in Carrollton, have a couple friends with it) Check Hot Deals - there was a huge thread over it. Think it was 768/128 - still a good deal (to me anyway)

Verizon dropped their tiered DSL packages in order to be more competitive with cable. So long as you live within 12,000 feet of the CO, you'll get the 1.54/384 for $34.95. Beyond the 12,000 ft. limit, you'll be stuck with around 768/384.

I have verizon down here in college station, its been good to us so far. We could only qualify for the 768/128 line so I have that right now for $35. As I understand it if you can qualify (are close enough) you get the 1.5/128 package for the same price.....

had a friend who worked dsl tech support for internet america. he said that verizon was the worst for DSL. their people didn't know what they were doing and would break stuff all the time and then take 2-3 days to fix it. when he moved to plano he went with cable since verizon was his only dsl option.

i use at&t cable too and its been painless for about a year now.
