Yesterday, I got an email from VZW offering twice the data for my same price. All I had to do was change my plan. Hmmm! It did not mention the alternative. No mention of it either in the website.

So, I engaged in a direct chat, and after going round and round initially, I finally got an answer! Question: What happens if I elect to keep my existing data level? Answer: (Finally!) My mothly payment would be $10 less.

Bottom line, my plan was thus changed - same data, but $10 less a month. Just thought you might like to know. :)

For me, that's a win!

Right, but I couldn't find it. :) What was not discussed was the alternative to the doubled data, i.e., the lower price for staying the same. That is not mentioned at all by VZW on their website.

What I would really go for is to pay the same old price but have my unused data roll over every month! T-Mobile does that, I believe, so it may happen.
