Verizon contacts vs. Gmail contacts

How do I manage this.
I updated a contact and I don't have any idea where it is stored.
There is a contact that is on my phone but not showing up in MightyText.
This is annoying as hell. I want it in once place.
Is there a way to delete all Verizon cloud contacts or something?
I am going to have to manually reconcile every entry to make sure Google is complete. What a nightmare.

there should be a "sync contacts to google" option someplace on your phone,

the will all be there if you log into gmail on a computer

ive never used VZWs cloud, I uninstalled the app when I still had VZW apps

I am pretty sure I synched everything to Google when I set up my MotoX 2015
I need to uninstall that VZ stuff.

I deleted the VZ Cloud app, and now all my contacts are gone.
Just need to figure out how to make Google contacts my active contacts

Got it sorted out. The POS Verizion export put all my Phone contacts into Gmail with their phone numbers as a MEMO. So, Google did not recognize any actual phone numbers. What a bunch of LAZY SOBs. I never noticed this since my contacts were redundantly stored on my phone, both locally and on Gmail. Once I deleted the VZ cloud, all my contacts were gone from anything phone related for auto complete. That's b/c now all I had was Gmail contacts, and they had no phone number field. So, I exported my Gmail, and wrote a regex to put the damn phone numbers into the correct column fields. Then I imported that updated CSV. Now, all my contacts are good in Gmail, and the VZ crap is deleted.
