Did anybody see that Verizon commercial where the guy is talking on the phone to Comcast rep and he gets frustrated because Comcast doesn't provide free popup blocker, router and it's more expensive. Then he calls Verizon and gets all that and is happy.

Well, I just saw the same commercial by Comcast. The guy is talking to Verizon rep and asks him how fast their connection is. They say something like 512kbits per second. Then he calls Comcast and they tell him he'll get 3MB per second and the guy is happy.

The setup of commercial is exactly the same, in fact, I think it's even the same guy. I thought that was funny as hell.

That Comcast commercial is BS, the guy is all surprised when he hears that with DSL, the further you are from the CO, the slower your speed will be. So they set DSL up as "your milage may vary" when cable has a similar drawback. That is, cable is shared bandwidth, so the more people in your local are, the slower your connection. So *both* solutions have varying rates of speed, that commercial is a ripoff...
