Verizon Cell plan question.

I am currently involved in a family plan with Verizon. My parents are paying for my part of the plan, and everything is in there name. Today my phone died, and i want to go pick up an lg4400. Will I need them to sign anything in order for verizon to switch to the new phone? It's not that they dont want me spending the money, it is more that they cant get there tomorrow and i would like to have the phone soon. Could i bring a letter saying it is ok for me to purchase a new phone? Could verizon give me the paperwork so i can bring it to my parents, and then back to the store?

-Thanks In advance
Brian

I have a plan with verizon, and recently replaced my ageing Motorola StarTac for a new Nokia 3589i (great phone BTW). Anyway, all I had to sign was the reciept for the purchase of the new phone, and a contract that says I will keep the phone for a minimum of 22 months. The plan is in my name though, so im not sure about if it isn't.

just get the number off the phone (serial number will do) call your parents tell them what the serial number is and then have your parents call verizon and make the change.

simple really.

You need the name and the last 4 digits of the social security number of the person the account is under.

[edit] Oh yeah, and no you don't have to pay an activation fee. Tell them you are just changing phones and they will need some numbers under the battery. That is all.
