Verizon Cell Phone

Right now I have an LG CX8300 verizon phone which i've had for about a year now and it's been suiting all my purposes (texting, calling and pictures). But I have 100$ saved up and I wanted to go get another one that does all of that and is more newish with better reception. I'm 17 so I don't want to/can't start any new plans either.

Any ideas?

Just ordered a blackberry curve for $49 with 2-year contract. GF gets 20 percent off the bill because she works for Starbucks Corp. In a family plan, we pay $50 each for unlimited everything.

I just got an alias 2 from Verizon. It's pretty cool because it uses e-ink in the keys. When you flip it from portrait to landscape, the buttons change.

you are 17 I think you can find used Tmobile Sidekick LX. All you have to pay 20 or 30 dollar for SIM and I cant remember if they offer 2 yr contact or not and only less than 50 a month data only plan.

Many of the new big LG's (the Titanium Voyager, Env Touch, Env3) are known to have problems with the operating system. They tend to freeze up if you run too many apps at once, have been browsing a while, and sometimes just randomly. My Voyager does it all the time and thats when I looked into the issue. It wasnt just the Voyager. Newer phones sometimes have the same issue. Firmware updates have not fixed the problem.

Your model is one I am not familiar with. If you havent been noticing any problems I would not worry about it. If you absolutely have to get a new LG, go for the Versa. It might seem a bit silly, but it does everything you want and no one has yet reported the problems of freezing or resetting.

However, if you just wanna add that to your current plan, I suspect it will cost more than 100 bucks. In fact, without a new plan you cant get much of anything for 100 dollars. Especially not one that does more than basic calling.
I did notice at Walmart the other day they have many different pre-paid phones. One of them was the Blitz and it was on Verizon. The phone itself was 99.99.

However, its got tiny keys and looks like a kids phone, and since you are 17 I am going to guess you care more about style than function.
But I recommend you check it out. The GPS is suprisingly good and its got a nice screen.

Unlimited everything for $50??? That's a lot larger than 20% discount.

last time i checked the everything unlimited was 99 each line. i have unlimited text, nationwide as well as "unlimited" data and my daughters phone is just the basic line (the unlimited txt is included in the plan) and i pay about 145 or so
