There is a thread going on over in fatwallet discussing the specific actions you can take if you choose to participate in the lawsuit.

Apparently the OP of the thread mentioned that Option #1 which has the following verbage:

I am a current customer of Verizon Wireless and would like a $15.00 service credit in return for extending my current contract term for an additional year. I agree that my signature on this voucher constitutes my agreement to extend my existing Verizon Wireless service contract, including incorporating all terms and conditions of my current calling plan.

He called multiple Verizon CSR's to inquire about this option to find that if you choose this option your current contract will be reduced to a year. IE: Currently in a 2 year contract with a year and a half left, it will be reducted to just a year contract with just six months until it expires.

There is debate whether or not this is true, I was curious to see how many AT'er have heard about this and their opinions.

The plain language there speaks of extending the contract, not reducing it. I don't see where you get a shorter contract from that.

Yeah, I'm confused. How do people figure this is going to reduce their contract?

I just read the howardforums thread, apparently the FW OP didn't know what he was talking about. So nothing more to see here.
