Verizon Android phones under 5"?

Are there any decent Android phones on Verizon that are under 5" for less than $300 or so? We're hanging on to a Moto Droid Razr HD (fall, 2012), that's getting slow and I'd particularly like a better camera. Whenever I've tried to search, almost everything has huge screens, which I'm not interested in at all.

I'll really only consider something that's a decent upgrade, particularly with the camera, and if we can do it for under $300. Used is ok, just not sure what to look for on ebay or craigslist. Need to stay Verizon because we're grandfathered with unlimited data. Need to stay Android because of PDAnet. If not, I can hang on to the Droid Razr HD.

Remember, because your phone is so old newer phones, even though they have larger screens are going to be around the same size because of better screen tech allowing for smaller bezels and such.

For example your Droid Razr HD is 131.9 * 67.9 * 8.4mm with a 4.7" screen. The Galaxy S6 (just to choose a current 2015 phone) is 143.4 * 70.5 * 6.8mm with a 5.1" screen. So even though the screen is almost a half inch larger, the phone itself is only ~3mm wider and ~12mm taller.

I see the HTC One M7 has a 4.7" screen like the Razr HD. I see ones for sale in "very good" condition for $150-200, would that be a good upgrade?

The M7 is actually bigger than a lot of 5" devices.

Look at overall size, not screen size.

Nexus 5 is slightly bigger and doesn't sound like it work on Verizon, nor any of the Galaxy mini/Alpha's.

The G2 is slightly taller and wider but thinner than the HTC One M7. It's really close though. I think that might be my best bet.

Moto X (original) is the only decent small phone on VZ, but it's getting a little old and the recent 5.1.1 update is likely to be its last. Slightly bigger (but still less bulky than the M7) are the Galaxy S4 (great only if you get a MDK, which isn't available any more) and the new Nexus 5.

I'd wait for the new N5.

its not too bad for $83

Thanks guys, got the LG G2. Haven't really compared cameras yet, but battery life is better, and its much faster. I guess it should be, bigger (and newer) batter, 50% higher clock speed, double the cores, double the RAM. Barely any bigger, but still waiting for the case. Ours is in great shape, got it for ~$130 on ebay!

Also glad to see that it has GSM, so we can use it overseas, or switch carriers (unlike the Droid Razr HD).
