Veritas pop-up ad

Hi guys,

I am very annoyed by this software. Spyware doesn't detect it, pop-blocker only blocks it but can't kill it.
I can't seem to find a way to remove this pop-up. I couldn't get much info on it as to whether it is spyware
or virus/trojan. I trace the ads to a program called Veritas Software for which i have no idea what it does.
I ran norton anti-virus and it doesn't find anything on it. I ran lavasoft ad-ware and it still doesn't find anything
related to that. I got the latest updates for both norton and ad-ware and still didn't get the bitch out of my system.
I remove the program itself, tried looking for any lines in msconfigs that might resemble that but got nothing.

I need some help removing this software. I am very pissed off by this.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So have you or have you not tried deleting the actual program file, the executable?
Download Process Explorer fromwww.SysInternals.com and see what/where it is.

to answer your question.

yes i did delete the excutetable files because i couldn't find any files that
would allow me to run an uninstall. Add/Remove software also does
not listed under it either. but yes i did and it still doesn't help.

any more help is appreciated.
