I currently have a PCP&C psu

http://www.pcpower.com/power-supply/turbo-cool-1200.html

I wanted to sli two OC'ed 580's.

I currently have an evga e-762 4-way mobo with a 980x and 24gb of ram. I also have 5 hdd's and 3 optical drives plugged in. There is also a sound, nic, and esata card plugged in.

There is also 2 case fans and a corsair h-70 cpu cooler.

Would my psu be enough for that with enough room to OC the cpu or would that be cutting it too close?

Get a Watt reader that you plug into the wall and then you plug your PSU's powercord into. They are about 20$ and you can get one at Lowes or possibly home depot.

Yes I understand that. What I wanted to know is if the 2 580 will be too much as I have not purchased them yet. If it is then I wouldn't get them.

maybe for folding at home.. i think an app like that and furmark are among the few apps that draw the most power from the GPU.. possibly Crysis too... but i'm sure a 1200w PSU will be more than enough for gaming... that really is alot of juice, i bet you won't see close to 600w drawl from the wall, at all, hah (my little rhyme 🙂 )
