A former projectionist at the White House has revealed which films President Bush likes to watch when he is not running the country.

Definitely a fan of war films, the US President is said to love Black Hawk Down and Saving Private Ryan.
He reveals Bill Clinton thought highly of High Noon, while JFK backed Spartacus.

According to Fischer, the first film Jimmy Carter watched while he was in power was All The President's Men.

The movie is about the fall of his predecessor Richard Nixon.

Apparently Carter watched a total of 580 films in the White House, more than any other president.

he probably likes to watch those movies to see what it's actually like to have the balls to fight for your country rather than fly missions over the dangerous backwoods of texas.

It's okay, every other politician's child does the same thing. How can we blame Bush or criticize him for doing this when everyone else does it?

Exactly. Bush has no credentials as a warrior. Unless being AWOL so you can work a campaign while real men fight and die counts as credentials. :)

edit:

Slagging someone for the movies they like is actually pretty peurile. So Shrub likes a rousing tale of war, big deal. A lot of us like them. If you have to attack him, attack him for his abjectly stupid foreign policy, and virtually non existant economic policy.

Isnt the lack of an economic policy a policy in itself??

Bush economic policy . . . cut taxes, blame all bad economic indicators on (terrorism, inefficient government, high taxes), and claim tax cuts are responsible for all good economic indicators.

We're all bored of attacking him for the obvious shortcomings of his administration. Like the late night talk shows, we need some new material :)

Funny you mention that, I was reading through a book of Bush's soundbites... I cant think of a more flamebait material for late nightshows than this piece.

Governer Bush: i talked to my little brother, Jeb-I havent told this to many people. But he's governer of -I shouldnt call him my little brother-my brother, Jeb, the great governer of texas.
Jim Lehrer: Florida.
Governer Bush: Florida. The state of the Florida.

This was what he really said, and keep in mind he was Governer of Texas at the time.

See I never believed that Bush intentionally lied to the public... the guy's dumber than a rock.
