That was the deciding feature on me getting a S5; that and the dust proofing. I'm pretty happy with it all things considered.

My biggest complaint is Sprint's fault. I can't turn call waiting off without deactivating it from the account. Can that be done on an individual phone from an account, or do all phones have to have that deactivated? If it can be done on one phone, my biggest annoyance will be solved.
Meh. Got all that over a year ago with my Samsung s4 active. Also the 4 is smaller which is a plus to me.

So when's the big S5 inventory clearance coming? I wouldn't mind picking one up if they priced it in the Nexus 5 territory.

It won't be called the Galaxy S5. And the discounts will probably arrive when the Galaxy S6 comes around. Right now they're just cutting production.

I actually ended up jumping up to the Note 4 because I wasn't too impressed with the s5. It was larger than what I could comfortably use with one hand already, so I figured if I'm going to deal with that I might as well get all the benefits of a large screen I can... Including the stylus. I was very hesitant to jump to the phablet size, but I'm glad I did it.

After a Galaxy S and a S3, touchwiz is what finally did the s5 in for me. For a phone that powerful to still have lag and be twitchy is not acceptable.

Hopefully the Android competition can soak up the extra sales and bring some competition back to Samsung.

The competition has already left them so far behind, yet they are still living in a magical bubble of "as long as we can slap a Samsung Galaxy onto a device it will guaranteed to sell well because consumers are idiots." FFS, they are still selling a Mega 6.3 with a TFT 720P, 1.2GHz A7 DUAL-CORE and Jelly Bean when their own Note 3 is priced less than 10% more...Seriously they are the most delusional and out of touch company I have seen it in a while.

Not sure where you're getting that figure. AT&T is selling the newer Galaxy Mega 2 for $475 off-contract versus $650 for a Galaxy S5. On-contract it's hard to swallow ($150 vs. $200), but that just shows that the subsidy is more aggressive on the S5.

That's not to say that Samsung hasn't abused the Galaxy brand. To me, the biggest offence is its "mini" line -- the pitch makes it sound like you're getting everything from the Galaxy S line, just in a smaller design. No, it's just a crappy mid-range phone. It wasn't until the Galaxy Alpha that Samsung actually designed a flagship-quality "small" phone.
