Verdict: Vanilla coke sucks

Was hoping for a stronger vanilla vlavor but most of the vanilla is in the aftertaste and it is bitter as well not sweet like ice cream vanilla but bitter like vanilla extract.

This won't last very long.

They could've used me as a taste tester there and I woulda told them this from the begining.

Just because it ain't your bag doesn't mean it sucks. Some of us like it, although I'm not sure it will still be on the shelves a year or two from now.

The only negative opinion of Vanilla Coke that I have heard has come from AT. I love it and have been drinking it constantly since the first time I saw it.

eh, it's ok. Kinda tastes like a lousy vanilla cream soda. If you want a good vanilla cream soda (or orange), try Henry Weinhard's Vanilla and orange cream sodas. Those are damn good.

Don't rush to judgement so quick. I remember when "lemon" Coke first came out and I found a case in the fridge I hated it at first compared to any other cola. The after about 10 of them over a three day period I started to like it. Now I absolutly am addicted and think it kicksass over regualar Coke. Lemon Coke was an aquired taste for me at least and Vanilla may be the same. Or it could go the way of "new Coke".

I was filling up at a Chevron today and noticed the Food Mart advertising it on the marquee for $.79, but I passed. Maybe I should have gotten it, I dunno. I think I'm just cheap.

haven't tried it yet. the 2 liter bottles were on sale this week at pathmark, but they were all sold out by the time i went to pick some up. and this was on sunday nite (sale began sunday morning). oh well... i'm sure shop rite will have them on sale next week. and if it is as bad as u claim it is... there should be plenty on the shelf for me.
