Who makes these? All the spindles at my Target say Made in Taiwan. And I've kind of been taught by this whole Taiyo Yuden thing to avoid Taiwan disks.

Are these better than TY? Cheap price, nonetheless.

Media supposed to be made by Mitsubishi as Verbatim is now a trademark of Mitsubishi Chemical. But they may have started farming out the manufacturing to their spec. Most put the VDL+ up there with TY, Mitsui and Ricoh. If you want TY, one of the big box stores has Memorex very cheap (like $3 ARs. for 50pk). The picture has the spindle knob, but as you know, you might find anything with the Memorex label on it, so YMMV. Another big box has Fuji which have been TY in the past, couldn't see a knob in the picture. And yet another has Imation. Whatever you want, you can find it this week.

bump

Saw some in my nearest Target. Said Made in Taiwan and SuperAZO logo. So either Mitsubishi built a factory there or is farming out mfring.

My Sam's Club (North Scottsdale AZ) had some 100 packs for $14 and change. Some were "Data Life" but there were some packs in the back of "Data Life Plus". I recommend only buying the Data Life Plus. Never had a bad burn with them.

Bump for a good deal and NO REBATES.

I've gone through about 100 of these CDs so far and never had any problems burning at 32X.
