Model number is VBTDVRW1A. I just got mine home and it is a rebadged Ricoh drive with JustLink. Friend works at Staples B&M and he told me about this deal. So far I have been too lazy to look it up online. Comes with Sonic 4.0, Nero Express, Nero Vision Express, InCD, Musicmatch 7.1, Win DVD, and NTI BackupNOW! Trial Version.

usually when you call...the item will be out of stock as the peep you will be talking to will be alerted to a deal and while holding said drive will tell you as much while gleefully grinning about the hot deal on said drive...as always ..ymmv

People are saying that the Verbatim 2.4x drive (a rebadged NEC ND1000A) can be flashed to the 4x NEC- ND1100A.
I also heard that lately some of the Verbatim 2.4x drive are not rebadged NEC drives but rebadged Ricoh 2.4x drives.

Never mind, found it. Didn't think it was a Staples rebate 'cause the guy in the B&M store on the phone said there wasn't any rebate.
