VeraCrypt - Truecrypt Alternative

Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used VeraCrypt

The reason why I ask is a client of ours, there head office is recommending on install this to encrypt the computers (1 laptop 1 desktop)

Apparently its based on Truecrypt

I have heard of it, I would still use the original true crypt version which passed all the security tests (link below as well). You can get an archived copy of it on Steve Gibson Site. https://www.grc.com/misc/truecrypt/truecrypt.htm

Wouldn't use it. Truecrypt has been audited.

Well I had to use it, if I had a choice I would have gone with true crypt but it was already ok'ed by their head office

Tell you head office that True Crypt is audited and not Veracrypt!
