im in the market for renting a few vent servers and was wondering which companies to stay away from, who has the best reliability, and features.
1 would be for clan related stuff, needs to have reliability, and tolerance for idle users.. the others would be general lite use.
so far i have nrgservers in mind as a first choice, typefrag and anvox only cause ive seen them around...
heres what im looking for in order of importance... 1) highest quality... 2)reliability 3)no limits on band, etc... 4)full access to banlist, other admin functions, basically as if i was running my own server, id like as many admin tools as possible...
ive been searching around google and all of the licenced host list with no luck with any of this info, so im posting and visiting as many commercially operated servers i can to check everything out...
also one REALLY big thing,,, how reliable is the backbone that these hosts lie on? and also what regional backbone is the best? also which locale would be best to get the rented server in? the main server would service people from mainly the US, Europe, and Australia. so would California, new york, or texas be the best choice? (so far im thinking texas but i am probably wrong)
