Hi, I have been using Ventrilo for some time now with no problems, but upon moving into my new dorm, and having setup the internet provided by the school I have noticed some problems. I am not sure if these problems lie with the school's network firewall, or the required mcaffe security software that had to be installed on my system.
For instance, world of warcraft can connect, and be played with no problem at all, but Ventrilo on the other hand cannot connect to the server. I have been told this could be a port issue, and I would need to find out the proper port needed for Ventrilo to operate normally, and have campus IT support resolve the problem.
My question to you is this, are any of you knowledgable when it comes to the Ventrilo program, know the port that needs to be allowed access, or have had this experience yourself? Any help here at all would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
