Ya I blasted through the main quest and the rebellion with a battle mage. Now Im really challenging myself. I have the difficulty turned all the way up, crosshairs turned off, playing a stealth archer. Took me a awhile to get my first kill on a human, but never so rewarding. Add the mod that makes dragons way stronger and you go from just a hack em' / slash em' to a real adventure, I love it.

Man, I need to try that. The crosshairs are a joke, at least for casting. Though, I prefer 3rd person view, so the crosshair is way off when trying to aim a staff from that perspective. I only recently noticed this. It doesn't appear to be a problem with Bow and Arrow, though

LOL, the Gamebryo engine had to be the buggiest video game engine ever invented. Its not that Bethesda doesn't know what they're doing, but asking for an open world engine to do everything but somersaults without being buggy is just insane. You might as well insist fish gotta fly and birds gotta swim.

Thats nice but what does it have to do with Skyrim?

Probably you`ll have to wait for patch 1.5,you know,to fix problems in 1.4...

Actualy I am running the Beta 1.4 patch now and it is awesome. No more jerky FPS drops. No more unexplained crash to desktop issues. No more incomplete rendering of the landscape and interiors and no more missing walls, ground, water and all the other wierd issues I was having. It runs perfectly. Now I just need the CK :sneaky:

Question is... will 1.4 be that good for everyone? I been lucky where I only had one ctd and one game lock up where I had to shut game down and restart it. I got the game after patch 1.2 though. It has been pretty stable for me otherwise.

I began after 1.3, and had 1 or 2 CTD max. I think the biggest change will be for those that have not implemented the CPU optimizations (avialable with Skyboost).

Also, it looks like a ton of the more common quest bugs have been fixed. ...then again, I wonder how many are now broken? So, performance should be a great improvement, but while this looks super stable, I'm still waiting for official release.

I do want to try out the texture/sky/general eye candy mods that people talk about, but I guess I want to make sure they are simpatico with the latest update.
