Venice Question?

What does the Venice have that makes it better for the memory?

they just improved the memory controller on the chip so as you can do what the guy above me said...

also has ss3...

Oh, I thought the RAM speed was brought down due to memory reading limitations on the BIOS. Are there any other features that make the Venice a better buy then the Winchester? If you were to just have 2 sticks of RAM would the Winchester be a better buy? And which OCes better?

Venice is supposed to use strained silicon, which should make it a better overclocker. It also has slightly higher power consumption than a Winchester. My Venice right now is idling at 2.6 GHz on 1.5 volts at 36 degrees C with the retail heatsink/fan. Room temp is about 70 F. My Winchester idled at 30 degrees C with the retail heatsink/fan, but with Cool 'n' Quiet reducing the speed to about 1.2 GHz on 1.2 volts. Waiting for an MSI BIOS update that allows Cool 'n' Quiet to work with my Venice.
