Hi!
I can buy a BP venice A64 right now. I will have to search really well to find a BW Venice.
I wanted to know what you all think. Should I purchase the "Older" BP or look for a BW? Is there anything important in the BW that the BP doesn't have?

thx!

YMMW with both. Some prefer the BW's 'fixed' memory controller, and others have more o/c'ing headroom with the BP.

E6 fixed these bugs in E3:

* #113: Enhanced Write-Combining Feature Causes System Hang
* #114: DDR Data Pin Drive Strength Also Affects Command/Address Pins
* #116: DDR Chip Selects Tristated One Clock Early in Power Down Mode

Thx John for the info. I read them already, and I just wanted to know if there will be any difference in real life. Generally the BP OC better. But are the BW more stable because they fixed the bugs in them?

They also took out lead and other metals like that in the BW to meet Europe's enviromental standards...

That's great. Unleaded CPU's! :D

I guess I'm asking too much. Maybe AMD only knows what they did on the revision of the cpu's and how it affects everyday performance. I'll buy a BP Venice tomorrow I guess and hope it will overclock well. ;)
