Does anyone else actually hear the Looney Tunes theme in their head whenever Chavez is mentioned? Don't tell me I'm the only one this happens to.

Who defended Bush in this thread?
Oh... that's right... this is about partisan ideologies, not reality. So naturally anyone who doesn't like Chavez must be a Bush lover. My bad.

I was pointing out that if that logic with looney tunes applies to Chavez it certainly applies to Bush as well.
The rest is impressive conjucture by you.

I wouldn't call him Hitler reborn, but I despise Bush and can't wait until he's out of office. Frankly, I wish the Dems would have pulled their heads out of their asses, gotten us out of Iraq and moved for GW's impeachment years ago. But oh no! They gotta distract with their own little agendas ...Originally posted by: Genx87
But Vic you have to remember, everybody who doesnt believe Bush is Hitler reborn is indoctrinated and sheeple, oh wait........................

You were engaging in a red herring. I already addressed this issue many posts back. How can the Chavez lovers tolerate actions (like this one) from Chavez that they would (rightly so) never tolerate from GW Bush?
Threads like this one show the Chavez apologists in their true light. They have no issues with dictatorship and no qualms with the oppression of rights, as long as its their ideological "team" that's on top. There's a word for this: hypocrisy.

What you refuse to understand is that he doesn't have broad support. Speaking of violently overthrowing the government, what did Chavez attempt to do in 1992? Did you forget about that? It has nothing to do with me hating his views -- it has to do with me hating his actions of destroying freedom, a great country, and selling it to the uneducated and the poor as this great opiate that will cure all their ills. His economic policies are not going to fix anything. A fixed exchange rate? Price ceilings? Where have we heard about that before? Has it ever worked?

Looks like it has everything to do with you hating his views, that's why you bring them up. Have you asked yourself why the uneducated and the poor were the majority if Venezuela was such a great country? Maybe if previous governments threw a bone to the poor once in a while and shared more of the country's oil wealth with the population, they wouldn't be in the mess they are in right now. Seems like a small price to pay to protect democracy and freedom.

Answer my posts. Acknowledge the 1992 coup. Otherwise, GTFO of the thread. No trolling for you today, lad.
Globovision general manager Alberto Federico Ravell: "This is a country with a single party and a single trade union. Now it appears there is going to be a single channel."
So why is the person who led the coup against Chavez the head of the Interior Ministry?Originally posted by: GrGr
I don't have direct proof of CIA operations. However the coup that attempted to overthrow Chavez was CIA supported. I do believe Venezuela is high on the priority of the CIA (and the Bush administration) and that a lot of effort is spent on destabilizing the county - much like what the US and CIA are doing in Iran. Feel free to believe the CIA is not operating in Venezuela.

Don't worry, I was just checking up to see if much had changed 'round here. Please go back to helping justify why the totalitarian takeover of Venezuela is okay because you personally agree with Chavez's politics.
Oh wait, this is sandorski - no, your official line is that you don't support Chavez, you're in a wait and see position right now. Because any day now, he could turn out just peachy keen! Too funny.![]()

For a year. Is RCTV's license suspended all for a year? Is Chavez going to pardon them in year. Get real, troll.

But plenty for you.
What does the thread have to do with 1992 Coup? Chavez went to jail for that coup, so it's not like those who tried it weren't punished. Maybe you should GTFO if you want to talk about 15 year old stuff.
