Vending machines

It would make more sense to have some kind of beam to be broken, or a pressure pad of sorts to ensure food has fallen rather than forcing people to rock the machine because the damned thing hasn't dropped any food 🙁

You could have it do the regular rotation, check if anything has fallen, and if not go a bit more at a time until something does fall. I can't see it being that much more expensive, and then people wouldn't have to stick their arms in or rocks the machine in legit situations, only if they were trying to steal food.

Because that won't weed out the stupid people in life.

If they did that... somebody would find a way to exploit it. Catch it before it falls down... use a mirror to cut the beam (hey, we see it in the movies all the time)

Some of the newer ones I worked with had sensors to see if the food had fallen or not, and if it hadn't then it would vend the item in the next slot over.

I broke the glass of a screen once when shaking it.. I started to run - turned around, grabbed my skittles, then ran again 😀

I wanted this candy bar in a vending machine..the button I was supposed to push was "HH", so I went to the side, found the H button, and pushed it twice...fvckin', potato chips came out, man, 'cause they had an 'HH' button, for Christ's sake, you need to let me know! I am not familiar with the concept of 'HH!' I did not learn my AA BB CCs. God god dammit dammit!

I once got in trouble at work for bringing in tons of my own snacks/candybars/chips and selling them to coworkers because the vending machine spurned my dollar once.

Well, not trouble, they just told me to stop doing it.

You're lucky; you probably could've gotten fired if they wanted to be real aholes.
