I had 4 drives go bad on me this week and am just wondering about W/Ds RMA process on VR drives... 2 of mine are HLFS and 2 are GLFS models. Just wondering if they might just ship me 4 HLHX models perhaps since mine are older? I noticed in their 'customer loyalty' store, they only have the newer HLHX models in stock.

Yes, you'd probably get the latest versions of the drive, but that's the least of your worries at this point.

4 drives in one week?
You need to take a good look at your power issues.

I had a GLFS go bad awhile back and they did ship me a HLFS for the replacement. This was within the last 6 months or so.

it is down to luck but they generally have a lot of spares seeing as the warrenty is 5 years.

As to going bad, 4 in one week? hopefully not in the same system as the issue might not have been the drives.
