Vehicles Inspections - SGS...alternatives?

Has anyone used this service? I stumbled on their site from cars.com. They charge you $100 and they do an inspection of a car anywhere I guess. Then they give you a report. They're suppose to check it over fairly well. You have to pay with paypal? Which was odd until I figured out they're tied in with ebay.

Are there any competitors to these guys? Anyone have any experience with them? This would certainly make shopping for vehicles at semi far dealerships more realistic for me.
 
If that's this SGS, then I do know they are among the top inspection companies in the world of consumer products. They are most well known for factory inspections and pre-shipment inspections of consumer products, and although I have never heard of them having a business line of car inspections, I suppose when you think of it is does make a kind of sense.

So no particular experience with them, but I can assure you they're no fly-by-night company (headquartered in Switzerland, >$3 billion annual revenue).
