I've been looking for a company that will transport 2 motorcycles (1988 Harley Electraglide and a 1948 Harley Model F panhead w/sidecar) from San Antonio, TX to Rock Hill, SC. About a 1300 mile trip from door to door.

Transporting them seems like it will be cheaper than actually renting a truck to do it myself (given the cost of fuel and the $1400 to actually rent a truck large enough to accomodate both bikes. Not including any insurance either. That '48 is worth a great deal).
I have been quoted from a couple of companies around $500 for the '88 and about $650 for the '48. The '48 is HEAVY and the side car adds a good bit of bulk.

I have found several doing a search in google but I was wanting to know if any of you have had first hand experience in dealing with a company like this?

Rent a covered car hauler trailer? If you have a pickup or SUV should do it easy enough. My 04 Expedition can get 15mpg towing at 60mph, 13 at 75mph. Still works out cheaper than gas.
