Vegas. Spending a couple or few days there soon.

I will have at least a couple days to myself in Vegas at the end of February. I'm sure I'll blow a few bucks in the casino's for kicks. Recommend some things to do (I'll be by myself). Any "must see's"??

Dont gamble. go do the food, and entertainment and yes the bars as well. My worst mistake was getting stuck on them damn slot machines. Lots of really cool stuff to spend your money on then that.

I've never been, but I hear the food is cheap (and good). Any particular places you recommend for food/entertainment/hotels, etc....

Go to one of the bigger casinos. Find a nice bar that has video poker machines. Get yourself a roll of quarters & play them very slowly. The bartender will ask if you would like something to drink. Order up! Cuz the drinks are free as long as you are playing that machine. (Remember sloooowly) Now with drink n hand, just relax & people watch. Very entertaining & not real expensive, might even meet some interesting people!

😉

Take a trip to the Spearmint Rhino for a lap dance. The whole free drink thingy in Vegas is sooo overrated. The cocktails are so bloody tiny that you finish them in two gulps, and then it takes 15 minutes for another server to come by and take your drink order. Personally, I find that playing craps gives me better odds in winning. For food, check out the Belagio buffet or the Paris buffet. Vegas right now is pretty wet, and this time of year they normally get a ton of rain. I'd also check out Club 54. When I was there at the end of December, Tiger Woods was there. You can get past the linup if you give the doorman $25/head. Otherwise, you may be waiting over a hour to get in.

The food is only cheap if you stay at really cheezy hotels off the strip. At the major hotels, you can expect to pay much higher than average prices for food.

$5 prime rib
$3.50 for half a chicken and rice and vegetables etc,
$1.99 for two pancakes, to sausage, two bacon an hash browns and coffee

Theres a book called 777 cheap eats in Las Vegas...there are some reeeeeeeeeealy cheap palces to eat in Las Vegas. That's what I'd do it prob go to many different places to eat. many places have the same prices, 24/7.

edit: found the book: 777 Cheap Eats in Las Vegas, 2003 edition

the best buffet that i have been to in vegas has to be the one in the Bellagio. its a bit pricey, but he food is definitely worht it. the steaks at the Range in Harrah's isnt too bad. too bad you're not going this weekend or else you would have been able to attend the consumer electronics convention AND the porn convention. 😀

for the best steak that you will ever have go to delmonico steak house. little pricy but definately a good meal

I prefer Paris Buffets to Ballagio and Paris is cheaper. But don't be cheap on the food. Avoid Luxor and Excalibur buffet it is cheap, but you get what you pay for remember.
