My dad and I run a company together and we're going to vegas for a trade show. he suggested I look at getting tickets for a show one night while we're there.

Is there anything worth actually seeing, or should we spend the money gambling instead?

go to one of the "cheap" ticket booths the day you want to see a show and see what's available. most shows, while great, to me aren't worth the full price tickets.

Cirque de Soleil after a few drinks is brilliant.

Skip the magicians unless you're totally into them. David Copperfield did a couple of cool things, but it wasn't worth the $$$.

I think blue man sucks and wouldn't go there for free.

Cirque de soleil though, was worth the price. I saw ka and zumanity. Both awesome.

Opinions vary of course, we saw the one Cirque at MGM and it was horrible, I think it was Ka. My folks have seen a few of them and they thought O was really good.

Also there is the 'ole 'hooker in the bar' game... try the bar @ Planet Hollywood across from The Belagio, was chalk full of them Monday night, was funny as hell watching n00bs struggle....

SHUX

No I don't do hookers.

Yep, they do. I want to see O next time I'm in town.

My wife and I have seen most of the Cirque shows and we both agree that KA was the best.
We found "O" to be the worst.
I guess opinions do vary.

Any of the Cirque shows are good. I like LaReve at the Wynn. I have to agree with Shux though that the hooker show is pretty funny. Watch guys stumble trying to close the deal by buying drinks, etc :)

Just got back from vegas a couple weeks ago. O wasn't worth half the ticket price, fell asleep in that one. Blue Man was awesomely funny and entertaining, and Phantom is great if you have date.

Just got back from Vegas. Saw Monty Python, The Producers, and Oh La La. Use the 1/2 off ticket places, just convert your vouchers to tickets early in the day.

I recently saw Penn and Teller and had a blast. I was not really a fan of theirs prior to the show so I had no idea what to ecpect - it was excellent.
