SW is my favorite steak in vegas, Ocean Club is really good for seafood (its a chain though). I agree about Delmonico being subpar, haven't tried Ramsey's yet.

A fun option is the tapas joint at Cosmo (although I went there 3 days after returning from Barcelona...don't expect real tapas.)

Oh, and breakfast at hash-a-go-go or whatever is awesome.

Hash House A Go Go for breakfast absolutely! If you like Biscuits & Gravy UNNNNNNFFF!!!!! They have the best breakfast I've had probably anywhere.

Burger Bar is in the strip connecting the Luxor & Mandalay Bay. It was gooooooood. One of the best burgers I've had. There's also an Evening Call Margarita place in the Luxor, and one in a few other casinos. I love the 3 foot high cups with Watermelon Margarita.

I don't remember the name but there's a burger place in the strip connecting the Luxor & Treasure Island. It was gooooooood.

HHAGG is pretty good if you like the big american style breakfast.

Bouchon is better if you like a EU/French style breakfast.

Whatever you do, don't get the chicken wings at Rehab. I heard they are mad expensive, and not that good!

I laughed.

I've only been to Vegas once, and I'll admit, I was drunk almost the entire time, so I don't remember where I ate. I did eat at some sweet buffets though, but damn they are $$. I also got prime rib at like 1am at this place called something like "Buffalo Bills Gambling Hall". It's a small casino across from the Aria, maybe 1/4 up going toward Caesar's etc. Had some nice prime rib for only $10 or so.

BBGH is now The Cromwell which houses Giada's restaurant - it's gotten good reviews so far.

The Buffet at The Wynn is pretty damn nice for brunch.

The rotating restaurant on top of The Stratosphere is also worthwhile just for the view alone.

overall, I'm pretty terrible at buffets.... I'm a big foodie, but not a big eater (so, I'll go to a buffet, load up a plate with a spoonful eggs, couple pieces of bacon, and be full)

Craft Steak is one of my favs, Mon Ami Gabi for breakfast is my usual, Bachi Burger is always good, Hot N Juicy Crawfish is a must. There's lots of places you can go that are great.

Mesa Grill in Caesars - very well prepared southwestern food with excellent spice. Bobby Flay's restaurant does not disappoint. The spiced Pork Loin is very good.

Craft - It's hard to recommend this as you have two Colicchio restaurants in NYC. Fantastic food though.

Mon Ami Gabi @ Paris for lunch - enjoy being seated on the outdoor patio and people watching while enjoying the menu. Warm olive jar is a must and you cant go wrong with the escargot and a loaf of bread.

Just there a few months ago. If you like sushi, sushisamba at the Venetian was delicious. You don't need to know shit, either (like me) just tell them how much you want to spend, what flavors you enjoy, and they come up with the courses for you. Delicious.

If you are on a budget, Ellis Island Brewery is great. It is off the strip and cheap but the food is good and the root beer is like the best I have had.

Wynn Buffet is good if you want a good buffet but it's expensive.

I've read if you go close to when they stop serving lunch you can eat lunch and if you sit at the table and wait you can get dinner for free. The dinner's like $10 more than lunch so this is quite the deal. I went there for lunch, and I know people say "ZOMG CESARS BUFFET IS TEH BEST EVAR!" I haven't eaten it to compare, but Wynn's was fucking amazing. I've heard the dinner's even more epic. And it's not that expensive considering how good it is. I had the Luxor buffet = SHIT. Mandalay Bay buffet = worse than Luxor. And they were something like $25-30 each. Wynn was worth the extra money.

If the waiting for dinner trick's true, I wish I had known about it when I was there 😀

I went to the Wynn right at the end of lunch. Had a plate or two of lunch stuff then they changed everything to dinner.

How would you compare the 2? It's not just a price hike for the same food right? The lunch would have made a damn good dinner imho. I gotta go back and try this.

Oh no they completely changed the menu. You had way more "dinner-y", heavy types of food. Meats, seafood etc.

yes, this is true for buffets that don't close down between lunch and dinner service.

I can confirm that Caesar's Bacchanal is quite possibly the best ever. It's basically 10 to 11 stations of great food and an additional station for desserts. The 10 to 11 stations include:

  1. Chinese (dim sum, congee, noodles, entrees, etc.)
  2. Japanese (sushi + custom order soup noodle bar like udon and ramen)
  3. Deli meats and cheese bar
  4. Pizza
  5. Hot seafood bar + pasta bar (this is where they will steam cook crab legs for you by the plate. Pretty much you will see all of the Chinese of Vegas gathering here for this. They also have some daily pasta dishes ranging from gnocchi to spaghetti and large meatballs.
  6. Salad bar
  7. Mexican station (chili verde, barbacoa, and a variety of fresh squeezed juices and a delicious fresh made horchata)
  8. Bread and soup bar
  9. Modern American cusine (typically they have items like scalloped potatoes, sweet potato tater tots, mini sliders, etc. All of these items are served in trendy little mini plates)
  10. Carving Station (this is part of the modern American station but usually the lines overlap. There's basically 10 or so cuts of meat for you to choose from)
  11. Seafood Station (this is where they have a rotating menu of cooked fish and other seafood. On one visit they had Chilean sea bass, which was ridiculously good. The next time they had miso salmon. They also have oyster shooters, cold crab legs with melted butter, shrimp cocktail, and a variety of other items.)
  12. Dessert Station (They have cakes, cookies, gelato, mochi ice cream (I would recommend the sesame mochi ice cream in the gelato bar as it's delicious), candy, macarons, etc. An excellent dessert selection).

Only problem with Caesar's Bacchanal is that it's expensive and the wait is insane. Dinner is $60+ per person. You can go earlier and pick up a number from their automated machines that will tell you when to come back to get your table. They will also send you a text to let you know when to go back. You can use that time to go to the Forum Shops or gamble or check out the variety of bars that are in there.

I would rank Bacchanal above Wynn and above M Hotel's buffet. The worst bang for your buck buffet is Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan. Garbage quality on a somewhat decent collection. Only thing worth noting there is the custom order mac n cheese bar.
