Very nice pictures! Hope you had a blast, this is a great time to come (when it's not so bizarrely hot).
Win anything? ;)

about 3K on blackjack. covered all the gambling and the trip. I'll be back.

Saw some lucky SOB win 1 million bucks on a slot machine.

Nice pictures! Did you use a tripod? If I tried those pics with my digital camera, I'd have to turn the shutter up to like 1/10 or 1/8, since the aperture only opens to 2.whatever.

nah, just steaded it on a flat concrete surface. taken in shutter priority mode. Played around with different speeds...the apature (sp?) adjusted accordingly. I'm thinking I left it open just a little too long on all of them but I wanted that whole "vegas night lights" kind feel.

<---still learnin'

Oh, cool stuff. And actually, I need to correct myself -- I think it would take more than 1/8th. No way I could get exposure like that. Do you remember what shutter speeds you took those you posted at? I've never done night photography with a digital. :)

1 - F2.8/1.3
2 - F3.5/15
3 - F3.2/6

forgive me if I don't know the nomenclature.

Cool, I'm gonna try it on a flat surface. Too bad I don't have Vegas to shoot... Houston will have to do. :p Thanks for the pointers!

heh - pointers nothing. I'm just playing around and see if I get some decent shots.
