Vegas- I got comped 3 days at the Venetian for Dec?!

JEDI

Lifer
back in august, i stayed at the venetian for $119/night.

i played maybe $5000 coin-in at video poker and lost about $100.

now i get a letter saying i've been comped 3 days from dec 14-23 (sun-thurs). for fri+sat, it's $99/night.

normally, it's $12500 coin in just for the reduced (casino) room rate, and the comp rooms is around $20k.

i know late Dec it's slow, but a 5star hotel giving away rooms for my LOW level of play???

unfortunately, i dont have the vacation time to go on a weekday, and there's no way i'm paying for a room for the weekend since i've already been comped 6 days from other casinos in dec.

and no i cant give it away. it's in my name and slot card #.

But Denizn or NativeSunshine, i'll be willing to take time off w/o pay to share the room with you 🙂 😀 :wine: :lips:

so that makes 9 days i have comps for in Dec. and i'm waiting for offers from a couple more hotels which should bring me to 15 days of free rooms in Dec.

man, I always get the shaft :|

😛

AngryPirate- I can't reply to your PM because I'm over the PM limit.

anyway, proof of ID (ie: drivers license) has to match what the hotel has on file for me. sorry...

Its part of the vegas charm. I still get deals sent to me from NY, NY for my 4 dyas there in 2002. Free nights during the week and reduced rates on weekends along with free chips.(i play table games). Just 2 weeks ago my in laws went to vegas and I gave them a $25 gaming coupon and told him to put it on any roulette number and hope for the best. He put it on 21 and 22 came up. He thinks he missed by 1 but in reality those numbers arent that close on the wheel. O well , he likes to tell people he was off by 1.

Cool... we got 2 rooms for 3 nights at the Stardust for a grand total of $104. They overbooked and comped us at another hotel a few days before that too.

you actually pay for rooms in Vegas? I would understand if it was the Bellagio or Venetian just for the WOW 5-star hotel factor. but to the Stardust? 😛

Er... what were the dates again? 😀 Heh... thanks for the offer Jedi, but I won't be able to afford Vegas for a long, long time.

Shucks..I was going to teach u the optimal strategy for video poker. For $100, you can last for days at 25c video poker (9/6 jacks or better <99.5% return>). Hell u can last for weeks on 5c video poker.

Seriously, if u can't afford it, then it great you've decided not to go!

ps- U look great as a blond. 😉 :lips:

My guess is that it's not random, but they see that on your first visit, you used $5000.... and that by your demographic, if they can get you to come back, you'll be likely to spend MUCH MUCH MORE. My guess is that you are male, age 21-30 (or so)... and to most casinos, those are their big spenders. They willingly gamble it all on one shot. They are trying to get you to be one of those people. Get hooked, and it will be more than worth the discount they give you.
Even though old ladies spend a lot of money, it is usually on slots, and that's not a high profit area for time involved.
