Question Vega FE waterblock choices

Amazon has a Bykski one, but it's nickel-plated. No idea if it's any good. Some of the older Bykski products were pretty bad. They've only recently stepped up their game.

They have excellent dGPU waterblocks. I wish I could buy one for Radeon VII from them. That would be a no-brainer.
 
Thanks, yeah that heatkiller looks nice. It'll just take awhile to ship, but their website also has a lot of other stuff.
Bykski seems like a cheapo chinese company, I don't think I want to do that.

I'll look into things a bit more, i'm half talking my way out of this. But I hate the 4000+ rpm fan noise on the stock heatsink.
And the morpheus aircooler is just massive ...

With a rad like that, you can probably put the CPU under water too, if it isn't already. You will find with Radeon VII that it also wants to be under water . . .

I'm relatively happy with my NH-D15 on the cpu, but the vrm's do get a little hot.

Im not a fan of a block which requires entire motherboard removal just to remove the cpu.

Do the VRMS get hot?
If they dont, i wouldnt bother honestly.

Everything but the waterblock can carry you to the next whatever gpu u decide to go.
So you dont lose out on most of your investment.
And the gains you get from a full CLCS is a net reduction of 40%-50% of your current load temps as well as keeping your VRMS and RAM in check if using a reputable waterblock.

That's what I'm getting. Possibly the best AM4 CPU block on the market. You can use it on x570 and possibly beyond (if AMD uses the same socket/CPU dimensions for whatever replaces AM4).
 
Does that heatkiller gpu block come with thermal pads for where it contacts the VRM components ?
It contacts the mosfets and inductors right ?

performance-pcs makes you pay shipping, shipping insurance, and signature expense.

yup mine did too, but it was missing about 2/3rds of what i needed. 😱

Lucky for me vendors used to be generous and gave you way more then you needed, sometimes enough to remount your block several times.
I had extra's i could use.

But im sure watercool would not pull a bykski on you.

Ugh. Fortunately they gave me more than enough thermal pads for VRMs. I'll just have to cut them up because they're all long strips, and Radeon VII isn't built quite like that.
